DOUGLAS MACMILLAN HOSPICE |
Denise is a former patron of our wonderful local charity The Douglas Macmillan Hospice - the only palliative care provider in North Staffordshire for adults with a limited life expectancy. The Douglas Macmillan's aim is to maintain the best quality of life possible by providing a caring and supportive environment either in the comfort of their patient's own homes or at a purpose built facility in Stoke on Trent . Whatever length of life they have, the patients and their families certainly receive a great deal of love, care and skilled attention from trained medical, nursing and support staff. The Douglas Macmillan is a local, independent charity and none of their patients pay for the care they are offered. To keep on running they rely totally on voluntary donations, fundraising events and the amazing hard work and goodwill of everyone on the team. Please support this extremely worthwhile cause.
